  • Industry Lunch with Chris Murphy (Klaviyo)
    • Friday, March 7, 2025, 12:30pm– 1:30pm
    • Organized by the Industry Partnership Committee
    • During the lunch, Chris will discuss his career trajectory and experience in industry. Chris has a Ph.D. in physics and spent 4 years as a postdoc. Fun fact: Jesse Thaler was one of his instructors at TASI. For a little over 6 years, he has been working in data science and machine learning. These days at Klaviyo he works on implementing generative AI into product features as well as offline evaluations of both gen AI and more traditional ML systems.

  • Industry Lunch with Steven Eulig (EMD Electronics and Harvard University)
    • Friday, February 7, 2025, 12:30pm– 1:30pm
    • Organized by the Industry Partnership Committee
    • During the lunch, Steven will discuss his career trajectory and experience in industry. Steven finished a masters in physics about 8 years ago and had various career stations since then, mainly revolving around strategy consulting and data science. Today, Steven has two roles: he is a part-time physics researcher at Harvard University and as his full job, he is the “Head of Digital Solutions” in a company called EMD Electronics. The company is in the business of selling materials and equipment for the electronics industry (predominantly chemistry for chipmakers) and his Digital Solutions organization deploys data science in our production plants, supply chains, R&D, and commercial teams. They are a team of 35+ talented scientists and engineers that work very closely with the frontline business. The work stretches many things such as data engineering, data science, MLOps, or project management.

  • Industry Lunch with Shankar Krishnan (Amazon Web Services)
    • Friday, December 6, 2024, 12:30pm– 1:30pm
    • Organized by the Industry Partnership Committee
    • Shankar has over 15 years of experience in the AI/ML space, and he is currently leading the development of generative AI products at AWS, with a focus on conversational analytics. During the lunch, he will discuss his career trajectory and experience in industry.

  • Industry Lunch with Bryan Ostdiek (Microsoft)
    • Friday, November 8, 2024, 12:30pm– 1:30pm
    • Organized by the Industry Partnership Committee
    • Bryan, a former Harvard postdoc (and IAIFI Junior Investigator) who is now a Senior Data Scientist at Microsoft, will discuss his career trajectory and experience in industry. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
